Embracing the spirit of the season, I couldn't be more thankful for the support I have received from my community regarding my current quest to secure funding for my "License Plate For Hunger Relief Initiative". By linking with me, Louisville is leading the way in establishing an ongoing means of hunger relief, not just in Louisville, but throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
At WorldFeast this past Labor Day Weekend, I was able to exceed the 900 signatures required by the DMV to produce such a plate. In active pursuit of the $22,500 required to accompany the signatures, philanthropists Viki and Paul Diaz offered me a challenge! They will meet me half way, which leaves me to secure $11,250.
Maret Pottschmidt (pictured), owner of PilatesFirst Studio, also came to the "plate". She hosted the studio's clients at her beautiful home to celebrate the holiday season and pass on the spirit with a fund raiser for Team Food Chain.
Through the generous support of corporations and folks like you I can see the finish line. I expect to be able to approach the DMV early 2015 with hopes that the plate will be a reality by 2016.
Help me keep paying it forward and donate today.
Happy Holidays! Chad
